It’s Her Time

She is truly inspirational. I have so much respect for H.E.R. All those years she remained focused on building her talent, and honing her skills, has really paid off. She’s delivered amazing music, and has helped revive RnB. Gabi is a true testament to perseverance and hard work paying off. After seeing her perform in front of her peers at the Grammy’s, only to win one right after her amazing performance, was so beautiful to witness.

No question, this young lady is dope. The greatest part for me, was seeing that no matter how long it may take, the feeling of satisfaction once you’ve reached your goals, is a feeling unlike any other. I let it all sink in for about a day before having “the talk” with myself.

It’s now or never. If I truly believe in my talents and abilities, and feel like there’s a lot more for me to experience, I have to get behind the wheel and steer this thing. Drive through any obstacles and challenges I come across along the way, until I get to my final destination. I went for a similar drive a few years ago, but I got lost and ended up where I started.

This time is different. I’m not relying on anyone’s instructions to lead me to what I think will satisfy me. The only thing I will be following is the desire for me to live out my potential. Great opportunities have presented themselves to me over the past few months, but I’ve been too scared or too unsure to follow up on them. Now’s the time. I have so much I plan on sharing with the world, but for now, it’s all about focus.
